1. GT의 定義(정이)와 발전과정
(1) GT의 定義(정이)
- Group Technology(GT) is the realization that many problems are similar, and that by grouping similar problems, a single solution can be found to a set of problems thus saving time and effort ( V. B. Soloja, 1969)
- GT is a philosophy that implies the notion of recognizing and explosion similarities in three different ways(Hyer and Wemmerlöv, 1985):
① By performing like activities together
② By standardizing similar tasks
③ By efficiently storing and retrieving information about recurring problems.
- GT는 기하학적 형상[설계] 또는 가공공정[제조]이 유사한 부품/제품을 같이 모아서 그룹화[design family, production family]하여, 결과 적인 설계합리화와 데이터 검색, 제조의 표준화와 합리화를 통하여 생산효율을 향상시키는 제조 철학/기법
(2) GT의 발전과정
- 제조분야에 GT의 최초 적용: F. W. Taylor의 생산성 향상 시도 시 적용
(H. K. Hathaway, 1930)
